It’s here, friends. My debut album, Undone, is live on all streaming platforms. I couldn’t be happier to finally share it with you!
My debut album, Undone is out on all the streaming platforms, and I’d like to share a little bit about the story, the music, and the behind the scenes for this epic storytelling project. And encourage you to check it out, and give it a listen!
Some early reviews are in, and people have been incredibly impressed with the sound and production. I made this project for me, that it resonates is a gift.
What IS Undone?
Undone is a concept album that follows Alyte, a cyberpunk persona born out of vulnerability and defiance. Across seven tracks, her story unravels as a tragedy of love, betrayal, and revenge. This is a journey from guarded bitterness to catastrophic loss, and finally into a raging hurricane of retribution and emptiness. It’s not just music. This is a character-driven narrative told in sound, where every track pushes her arc deeper into heartbreak, loss, and emptiness.
This isn’t a “shuffle and play” album. This is a story, and the tracks in order will bring you into Alyte’s world, and tell that story.
I am a storyteller at heart. I’m always looking for new ways to leverage my skills and talents to tell stories, and when this protagonist and project came to me in a dream, I had to chase that muse as hard and fast as I could.
I’ve always had a close relationship with music. With modern AI tools, I’ve found an instrument of a different sort. The type that allows me to leverage my creativity and skills to tell a story in a different medium, with meaningful lyrics and incredible music.
My influences are loud and clear in this music. I love Fiona Apple, Radiohead, and anything with incredible soundscapes, meaningful lyrics, and great story. These types of records are hard to find. Undone is the album I wanted to listen to.
So I made it.
More importantly, I found a space for some of the deepest thoughts I have. Undone isn’t just a cyberpunk tragedy, it is loaded with an undercurrent of personal introspection, pain, and heartache that I’ve experienced.
Alyte is both a mask and mirror for me. When she speaks, it is my reflection.
She is a character, but she is also me.
What About XXXII?
I’ve detailed this in an X post, so I won’t rehash it here (you can freely view that one, X account or not). Suffice it to say that 32 is a sacred number to me and my family, and a tribute to my big brother, who passed away suddenly in 2019 at the age of 54.
It was a lesson that taught me how short and fleeting life could be, and that there is no entity in our reality that will stop me from honoring my time here with creation.
My bio on Spotify sums up my philosophy and background as well as I can express it.
Behind The Scenes of Alyte and Undone
This album was built with a host of modern tools: Suno, MidJourney, OpenArt, VEO3, ElevenLabs, Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and Audition. BandLab provided a final delicate touch of polish on it all.
Here’s what’s important to understand: Undone is a hand-crafted project.
Every lyric, every cut, every mixdown — all of it was done by my hand and my ear. All for the music, the promotional video, clips, imagery and branding. This isn’t an AI project. This is a by-hand project and it cannot not exist without my head, my heart, my skills, and my hands on the wheel.
Dozens of hours of work went into this project, and it’s the most meticulous, wide-ranging, and creative project I’ve ever attempted.
I believe the quality of the music, the storytelling, and the overall thematic vibe speak for itself. This is something I’m incredibly proud to have produced.
Join The Story … More Is Coming!
This album is just a first step, for me, and for Alyte. There will be more.
Friends, we are in a new brave world of creativity and storytelling. Whether you are an author, a friend, or simply a creative somehow stumbling on my corner of Substack, there’s something you have to realize.
The days of gatekeepers are numbered.
There is nothing stopping you from creating incredible work with zero boundaries or borders. A great way to start (okay, fine, this is a plug, but hear me out) is to support people that create this kind of content, and I’m thrilled to be someone that can show you how it’s done, inspire you, and pray for you to have success beyond my wildest dreams. I want you to do everything I do, but better.
We can change the world with storytelling, friends. So let’s do that.
First, please support the album: Add it on Spotify.
Second, please support me: Follow me on Spotify.
Third, if you have it: Grab it on iTunes.
I’m not asking you for cash here, or to purchase it (though you can do that on Amazon if you wish).
Share it. Add a track or three to a playlist. Let others know something awesome exists. That’s all I would ever ask for.
Lastly, Tell Me Your Thoughts!
If you have a favorite track, a favorite lyrical clip, or a favorite moment from Alyte’s story, please take a moment and share it. More people seeing this type of project is good for every creator breaking the chains that traditional media and publishing has thrown on us, and I appreciate the casual and loose “review” drops in comments that I can use for promotion.
And finally …
Alyte doesn’t have to wait any longer. I hope you enjoy Undone as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Thank you.
